Teacher
As a former behaviour lead, Michael's skills are focused towards building relationships and supporting students with behavioural needs, and getting them to re-engage in learning and education.
Before continuing my career at Education Plus, I had worked in education for 3 years as a teaching assistant and worked my way up to a behavioural lead position working with SEMH students. I hold a degree in psychology and CPD qualification in Autism and Counselling. In my current role I support staff to ensure that personal, behavioural and academic needs of all students are met. I also achieve this through managing challenging behaviours, building students’ self-esteem, resilience and giving them the ability to manage their own behaviours in the future.
