As a former Behaviour Lead, Michael specialises in building strong relationships with students, supporting those with behavioural needs, and helping them re-engage with learning and education.
Before joining Education Plus NE, Mike spent three years in education as a Teaching Assistant, progressing to a Behavioural Lead role working with SEMH students. He holds a degree in Psychology and CPD qualifications in Autism and Counselling. In his current role, Mike supports staff to ensure that the personal, behavioural, and academic needs of all students are met. He also works directly with students to manage challenging behaviours, build self-esteem and resilience, and equip them with the skills to regulate their own behaviour in the future.
