Education Plus NE Students Engage in World Mental Health Day, Showcasing the Importance of Mental Wellbeing
At Education Plus NE, we are deeply committed to fostering the holistic development of our students, and on Thursday, 10th October, our Year 8 to 11 students actively participated in World Mental Health Day. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, they explored the critical importance of mental health, reinforcing the message that it’s just as essential as physical health. Our students learned how mental wellbeing impacts every aspect of life – from relationships and school performance to self-care and personal growth.
The day kicked off with a creative workshop where students designed powerful posters addressing mental health topics such as bullying, self-harm, and anxiety. These works will be proudly displayed in classrooms as valuable resources, fostering ongoing awareness and dialogue. In the afternoon, students participated in an exciting game-athon, a series of games and challenges that not only tested their skills but also measured their resilience and teamwork.
The enthusiasm and engagement from both students and staff made the day an overwhelming success, demonstrating Education Plus NE’s commitment to nurturing not only academic growth but also the emotional and mental wellbeing of our students.
