Supporting Well-being with Trained Mental Health First Aiders
We are committed to supporting the well-being of our students and staff. Education Plus NE now has Mental Health First Aid-trained staff at all our centres, ensuring that support is always available when needed.
Data from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) shows that of the 1.8 million people suffering from a work-related illness in 2022/2023, almost half experienced stress, depression, or anxiety due to their jobs. Mental ill health is also responsible for the loss of 18 million working days and costs businesses £101 billion per year. Implementing Mental Health First Aiders can be a practical step towards fostering a happier and healthier workforce.
Our trained team members are equipped to provide guidance, recognise early signs of mental health concerns, and signpost individuals to appropriate support services. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for everyone in our provision.
