Prior to commencing my role with Education Plus I have enjoyed careers with the Armed Forces (Army), Police Service and held a variety of roles within education.
I have held leadership positions at schools and colleges across the North East, including Head of Alternative Provision (including SEND), Head of 14-16 provision and Head of School of an Alternative Provision Free School, which I was instrumental in establishing.
I have worked with the hardest to reach young people including within a secure mental health establishment and special schools. I have experience working with Looked After Children and have been responsible for writing and managing PEPs.

I have extensive safeguarding experience gained across my various careers. I have held the designated lead at various educational institutions, including large FE colleges with extremely large student numbers.
I have significant SEND experience, having ensured in excess of 170 High Needs learners were able to successfully access education, at a NE College, due to the extensive planning and processes put in place.
I hold a variety of qualifications including the management of aggression and challenging behaviour and a Post Graduate Certificate in developing leadership. I am committed to ensuring every young person has the opportunity to succeed, despite any difficulties they may be facing in their lives.
