Deputy Head Of Site For Dedicated Woodlands Centre
James is the Deputy Head of Site at the Woodlands Centre, where he combines leadership responsibilities with teaching. He continues to deliver PE and sport lessons, promoting fitness, teamwork, and personal wellbeing among students. In addition, James leads the development and delivery of Life Skills lessons at KS4, providing practical, engaging, and challenging activities that support students’ personal growth. As a qualified teacher, he brings expertise, energy, and a student-focused approach to all aspects of his role.
Prior to joining Education Plus NE, James worked as a fitness instructor and leisure assistant at a local gym. Starting as an apprentice, he spent four years gaining a range of fitness qualifications, including gym instruction and personal training. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for teaching and supporting others, which inspired him to pursue a career working with students on a daily basis.
